Nancy Mather 
Nancy was born in March 1857. Nancy's father was James Mather and her mother was Elizabeth (Betsy) Broom. Her paternal grandparents were William Mather and Martha Bleakley. John Mather and Jane Welsby were her grandparents through her father's adoption. She had three brothers and two sisters, named John, Charles, Henry, Martha and Elizabeth. She was the second oldest of the six children.General Notes
NOTE: There is another Nancy daughter of James born 1856. That James was a Manifacturer and then a Druggist, and that Nancy was still with her parents in 1881.
2 Sep 1876, Nancy Mather (20) of 69 Mill Street (near Bromily Cross), daughter of James Mather a carder, married Robert Stott (21), a collier of 12 Bare Street, son of John Stott a Slipmaker.
In 1881, Robert and Nancy (25 & 24) were at 1 Booth St, Elton, Bury with daughters Mary (4) and Elizabetrh (2 wks)
In 1891, Robert and Nancy (35 & 34) were at 11 Short Street, Farnworth with daughters Mary (14) and Lizzy (10)
