It’s unlikely this Nancy would have gone by the name Ann, since she already had an older sister Ann. A likely possibility is the Nancy died an infant, and Ann was a replacement child, the next daughter to be born 2 years later.
General Notes
The Nancy Mather that married Samuel Astley in 1814 was born about 1792 (so aged 22 about when married) and died Jan 1819, aged 27. This is clearly another Nancy Mather.
This Nancy probably married John Horrocks, a weaver 6 Jan 1802.
In 1841, Nancy Horrocks (not Knowles) was still alive, aged 70, with Mary (34), Margaret (27), Charles (24). Then is listed James (34) with Betty (10), Adam (6), and Thomas (1). They are living in Dean Street, L.B.
Nancy was still alive in 1851, born Walmsley, now aged 83
In 1857, Nancy Horrocks (another) was sentanced for "Murder".
