Joseph Mather

Joseph was born in 1822 in Edgworth and his baptism took place on June 27th, 1822 at St. Anne (Turton).¹²

Joseph's father was Isaac Mather and his mother was Sarah Jackson. He had two brothers and five sisters, named Peter, Jacob, Ann, Peggy, Alice, Jane and Reuben. He was the third oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 75 in 1897 in Bury.³
