General Notes
Nathaniel Mather (1802-1884) married Nancy Bromiley 15 Oct 1821 at St Peter’s, Bolton. They had a son John, baptised 6 Dec 1822. Unfortunately Nancy died giving birth to John and was buried at Bradshaw, St Maxentius the same day. With no mother, John died an infant and was burial 19 Aug 1823 with his mother. Even though the family were Methodists, before the 1830s there was nowhere else to bury their dead, so they used the ancient parish chapelry. There are no other Mather records indexed here.
