Ellen (Nell) Mather

Ellen, known as Nell, was born on February 9th, 1914 in Little Bolton.¹

Nell's father was Joseph Mather and her mother was Jane Davies. Her paternal grandparents were James Mather and Maria Hulme. She had six brothers and two sisters, named James, Joseph, John, Stanley, Robert, William, Maria and Janie. She was the third oldest of the nine children. She died at the age of 76 in May 1990 in Bolton.²
