Caroline Priestley Mather

Caroline was born in 1820 in Bolton and her christening took place on August 13th, 1820 at St. Peter's (Bolton) conducted by Curate H Richardson.¹

Caroline's father was Matthias Mather and her mother was Mary Priestley. She had six brothers and six sisters, named Samuel, Thomas, George, Mathew, Joseph, Edwin, Mary, Ellen, Rachel, Sophia, Rachel and Eliza.  She was the second youngest of the thirteen children. She had a half-sister named Ann.  She died at the age of 82 in 1902.
