Betty Mather

Betty was born on January 20th, 1793 in Blackrod and her baptism took place on February 17th, 1793 at St. Katherine (B'rod).¹

Betty's father was John Mather and her mother was Ann Entwistle. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Mather and Betty Bromiley. She had six brothers and two sisters, named Thomas, Nathan, John, George, James, Isaac, Mary and Alice. She was the fifth oldest of the nine children. She died at the age of 40 in August 1833 in Rivington. Her burial was on August 4th, 1833 in Horwich.²
