Joseph Lees

Joseph was born in 1827 in Ashton-under-Lyne.¹

Joseph's father was John Lees and his mother was Elizabeth (Betty) Buckley. His maternal grandparents were John Buckley and Mary Hirst. He had four brothers and a sister, named James, John, George, Josiah and Susannah. He was the second oldest of the six children.
