Abraham was born on September 14th, 1884 in Hulme (near Manchester) and his baptism took place there on September 28th, 1884.1 2  Abraham's father was Thomas Lee and his mother was Sarah Jane Mather. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Joseph, Herbert, Samuel, Clara, Fanny and Sarah.  He was the second oldest of the seven known children.
