Richard's father was Richard Ledsham and his mother was Ann Lucas.  His paternal grandparents were Benjamin Richard Ledsham and Mary Sellers; his maternal grandparents were Richard Lucas and Elizabeth Chancelour. He had a brother and five sisters, named William, Sarah, Mary, Ann, Martha and Hannah.  He was the oldest of the seven known children.  He died at the age of 59 in November 1799 at St. Boniface (Bunbury).  He was buried on November 26th, 1799 in Beeston.^3 4

  The 1810 death reported by others appears to be wrong.
  
  Richard Ledsham of Beestone died 4 May 1787 which I assume is the father.  This Richard Ledsham of Beeston was buried 26 Nov 1799.  It is assumes the father died first.
