Mary was born about 1749 at St. Boniface (Bunbury).1  Mary's father was Richard Ledsham and her mother was Ann Lucas.  Her paternal grandparents were Benjamin Richard Ledsham and Mary Sellers; her maternal grandparents were Richard Lucas and Elizabeth Chancelour. She had two brothers and four sisters, named Richard, William, Sarah, Ann, Martha and Hannah.  She was the third oldest of the seven known children.  She died on January 1st, 1794 in Harthill.  She was buried on January 1st, 1794 in Harthill.2

      Will of William Bruerton therefore of Harthill but late of Overton in the county of Flint Yoeman deceased was proved and admon granted unto Thomas Bruerton one of the Executors power being reserved to Richard Bruerton the other Executor.

    • Banns were published on the 23 and 30 July and 6 August 1769 and William Brereton and Mary Ledsham were married on the 7 August 1769.    Richard Ledsham (Mary's oldest brother) was a witness.
‌Mary and William were married in a religious ceremony on August 7th, 1769 at St. Boniface (Bunbury) by Mr Williams and witnessed by Richard Ledsham & Peter Young.1  They had eight sons and a daughter, named Richard, William, George, Thomas, John, James, Samuel, Abraham and Mary.  There are no more children.
