Ann Kay

Ann was born in May 1842 in Turton and her baptism took place there on May 8th, 1842.¹²

Ann's father was Samuel Kay and her mother was Nancy Mather. Her maternal grandparents were Isaac Mather and Alice Fielding. She had four brothers and three sisters, named John, George, Samuel, Samuel, Kitty, Elizabeth and Alice. She was the seventh oldest of the eight children. She died at the age of 49 on May 23rd, 1891.

  8 June: The Will of Ann Kay, late of 398 Hardman's Terrace, Turton in the county of Lancaster Spinster who died 23 May 1891 at 398 Hardman's Terrace was proved at Manchester by David Hall of Toppings, Turton, Brewer and Henry Isherwood of 398 Hardman's Terrace Bleacher, two of the Executors.

- Ann may have married Janes Turner, and had a daughter Alice A, who was 9 in 1871, and staying with grandparents Samuel and Nancy.
  
  In 1881, Ann Kay (39, single) was with her mother Nancy (78), at 161 Toppings Road, Turton.
  
  Ann died a spinster 23 May 1891 at 398 Hardman's terrace.
