Mary Hopley

Mary was born in 1851 in Broxton.¹

Mary's father was Thomas Hopley and her mother was Rebecca Jones. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Hopley and Jane Shone. She had three brothers and two sisters, named Thomas, Randle, Samuel, Elizabeth and Margaret. She was the youngest of the six children.

- In 1851, Thomas (55), Rebecca (42), Margaret (14), Randall (11), Samuel (9) and Mary (1) were at Barn Hill, Broxton.
  
  In 1861, Mary (10) was with her widowed mother Rebecca and her grandchildren George and Ann Hopley (aged 4 & 3) at Cuddington.
