Robert Holt

Robert was born in 1821 in Sharples and his baptism took place on July 8th, 1821 at St. Peter's (Bolton).¹

Robert's father was James Holt and his mother was Fanny Hamer. He had four brothers and two sisters, named Edmund, Thomas, William, James, Esther and Mary. He was the oldest of the seven children. He died at the age of 81 in 1902.

- Robert married Alice Grimshaw and had a son Jonathan Holt, grandfather of Nancy Collins with whom I have a DNA match. However this cannnot be the source of the common DNA (no no DNA matches to Holt from IOW)
