Frederick was born in September 1930 in Lichfield.1  Frederick's father was Ernest Handford and his mother was Sarah Elizabeth Lee.  His paternal grandparents were Thomas Handford and Eliza Woodford. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Ernest, Douglas, Elizabeth and Joyce.  He died at the age of 7 on February 14th, 1938 in Staffordshire.
