Martha was born on March 16th, 1649.  Martha's father was Benjamin Grimshaw and her mother was Elizabeth Hollenworth.  Her paternal grandparents were William Grimshaw and Sibbell Marshall. She had two sisters named Mary and Mercy.  She was the youngest of the three children.
