Robert was born in September 1847 in Bolton.1  Robert's father was John Greenhalgh and his mother was Jane Wolstencroft. He had four half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Robert, Frederick, Alphonso, George, Ellen, Martha, Henrietta and Margaret.  He died at 8 months old in May 1848 in Bolton.  He was buried on May 7th, 1848 at St. Peter's (Bolton).2 1
