John Foster

John was born in March 1795 in Bolton and his baptism took place on May 31st, 1795 at St. Peter's (Bolton).¹

Birth Notes

John's father was James Foster and his mother was Margaret Mather. His maternal grandparents were John Mather and Jane Holt. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Roger, James, Richard, Catherine, Ann and Peggy. He was the youngest of the seven children.
