Elizabeth (Betsy) Cunliffe

Elizabeth, known as Betsy, was born on May 16th, 1811 in Bolton and her baptism took place on June 22nd, 1811 at Bank Street Unitarian.¹²

Betsy's father was James Cunliffe and her mother was Ellen (Nelly) Hill. She had three sisters named Alice, Susanna and Mary. She was the oldest of the four children. She had six half-brothers and four half-sisters, named John, Daniel, William, Joseph, Joseph, Benjamin, Ellen, Sarah, Rachel and Ruth.
