Walter Cooper

Walter's father was James Cooper and his mother was Peggy Mather.  His maternal grandparents were Robert Mather and Ann Ainsworth. He had three brothers and four sisters, named William, George, James, Mary, Amelia, Harriett and Elizabeth.  He was the fourth oldest of the eight children.  He died at the age of 1 in 1859 in Turton.¹
