Sarah Buckley Buckley

Sarah was born in June 1874 in Darcy Lever.¹

Sarah's father was William Buckley and her mother was Ann Pollitt (Greenhalgh). Her paternal grandparents were Jonathan Buckley and Mary Webster; her maternal grandparents were Miles Pollitt and Betty (Elizabeth) Openshaw Greenhalgh. She had two brothers and two sisters, named John, Ben, Esther and Sarah. She was the oldest of the five children. She had four half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Levi, John, Phipps, Thomas, Mary, Hannah, Agnes and Martha. She died at the age of 4 in June 1878 in Darcy Lever.¹

- The Lever, Bolton death in 1878 for Sarah Ellen Buckley is another Sarah Buckley, also born in 1874 (MMN = NORRIS).

General Notes
- What happened to Sarah? On the GRO her mother's name was GREENHALGH, wheras on the BMD index it is HOLT. This could be the death of Sarah Ellen, in 1878 aged 4. The other Sarah Ellen Buckley, born 1874, is the daughter of Levi Buckley and Jane Ann Norris, and she did not die an infant.
