Gertrude Brereton

Gertrude was born on April 10th, 1888 in Tattenhall and her baptism took place there on August 25th, 1893.¹²

Gertrude's father was John Brereton and her mother was Elizabeth Manley. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Brereton and Catherine Rushton. She had eight brothers and six sisters, named Thomas, William, John, Arthur, Richard, Robert, Charles, Frederick, Catherine, Florence, Sarah, Margaret, Ellen and Lucy. She was the twelfth oldest of the fifteen children. She died at the age of 67 on November 10th, 1955 in Birkenhead.³
