Alice was born in June 1802 in Harwood and her baptism took place on June 30th, 1802.1  Alice's father was Richard Booth and her mother was Catherine Whalley.  Her paternal grandparents were Edward Booth and Betty Chadwick. She had four brothers and five sisters, named Thomas, Richard, Adam, Adam, Alice, Elizabeth, Peggy, Jane and Ellen.  She was the fifth oldest of the ten children.  She died at the age of 53 on November 1st, 1855 in Salt Lake County/City.2

‌Alice and James were married in a religious ceremony on April 2nd, 1820 at St. Peter's (Bolton) by a curate and witnessed by Jn'o Magnall & John Morris.3   They had three sons and four daughters, named James, Thomas, Thomas, Nancy, Nancy, Mary and Alice.
