Martha's father was Henry Bennett and her mother was Eleanor (Elinor) Coppack.  Her paternal grandparents were William Bennett and Anne. She had six brothers and two sisters, named William, Henry, Benjamin, Samuel, Charles, James, Mary and Ann.  She was the fourth youngest of the nine known children.
