Possible brother of Benjamin Bennet of Hanmer, sons of Benjamin and Alice, based largely on both families lived at Werpe, and sailors or fisherman and common family names.
More likely son of John and Catherine, baptised at Northop 1768.
In 1841, Henry and Elinor (both 65) were farming at Wepre with sons Charles and James (20 & 15). Son William and his wife Mary Bennet (40 & 35) were neighbours, ag. labourers.
In 1851, Henry and Ellen (79 & 78) were farming 20 acres at Wepre, Flintshire with three grandchildren. His neighbour was William Bennett (48) a likely son, so this may be the wrong couple.
