Mary was born in 1888 in Bolton.¹

Birth Notes

Mary's father was Joseph Allen and her mother was Agnes Gregson. Her paternal grandparents were John Allen and Ellen Crank. She had six brothers and three sisters, named Joseph, Richard, Thomas, John, Albert, Sydney, Martha, Agnes and Elizabeth. She was the fourth oldest of the ten children.
