John Allen

John was born in 1777 in Halliwell and his baptism took place on May 11th, 1777 at St. Mary (Deane).¹

John's father was Richard Allen and his mother was Rachel Knowles. He had four brothers and a sister, named Thomas, Thomas, Mathew, William and Betty. He was the second oldest of the six children. He died at the age of 66 in 1843 in Bolton. His burial was on January 16th, 1843 at St. Mary (Deane).²³
