Otto was born about 1918 in Illinois.1   Otto's father was William F. Sievers and his mother was Clara W Hering.  His paternal grandparents were Sievers and <Unknown>; his maternal grandparents were Hering and <Unknown>. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Adolph, William, Laura, Elsie and Erna.  He died before 1982.2
