Katharina was born on February 7th, 1759.1   Katharina's father was Johannes Bangert and her mother was Maria Elizabeth Schmalenstoder.  Her paternal grandparents were Ditmar Bangert and Katharina Elizabeth Schreier. She had a brother and a sister, named Johann and Anna.  She was the second oldest of the three children.  She died at the age of 56 on August 13th, 1815.1
