Anna was born on December 20th, 1757.1   Anna's father was Johannes Bangert and her mother was Maria Elizabeth Schmalenstoder.  Her paternal grandparents were Ditmar Bangert and Katharina Elizabeth Schreier. She had a brother and a sister, named Johann and Katharina.  She was the oldest of the three children.
