Philippa was born on October 1st, 1652 in Portsmouth, Newport, Rhode Island, USA.1 Philippa's father was Philip Sherman and her mother was Sarah Odding. Her paternal grandparents were Samuel Sherman and Phillippa Ward. She had eight brothers and three sisters, named Eber, Peleg, Edmund, Samson, William, John, Samuel, Benjamin, Sarah, Mary and Hannah. She was the youngest of the twelve children. She died about 1731 in Freetown, Bristol, Massachusetts, USA.-
