John Sherman 
John was born in August 1644 in Portsmouth, Newport, Rhode Island, USA.1 John's father was Philip Sherman and his mother was Sarah Odding. His paternal grandparents were Samuel Sherman and Phillippa Ward. He had seven brothers and four sisters, named Eber, Peleg, Edmund, Samson, William, Samuel, Benjamin, Sarah, Mary, Hannah and Philippa. He was the fifth youngest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 89 on April 16th, 1734 in Dartmouth, Bristol, Massachusetts, USA. He was buried in Dartmouth, Bristol, Massachusetts, USA.-
