John was born on March 28th, 1763 in Pennsylvania, USA.1   John's father was Robert Morrison and his mother was Sarah.  His paternal grandparents are William Morrison and Janet Hall. He had four brothers and six sisters, named William, James, Robert, Thomas, Phoebe, Sarah, Martha, Elizabeth, Jean and Mary.  He died at the age of 83 on November 27th, 1846.
