Gideon was born on October 14th, 1738 in Chester County, Pennsylvania, USA.1 Gideon's father was Joseph Gilpin and his mother was Mary Caldwell. His paternal grandparents were Joseph Gilpin and Hannah Glover; his maternal grandparents were Vincent Caldwell and Elizabeth "Betty" Pearce. He had a sister named Ruth. He was the younger of the two children. He died at the age of 86 on August 20th, 1825 in Chester County, Pennsylvania, USA. He was buried in Birmingham-Lafayette Cemetery.1 -
