Sy Aziz's father was Sy Abdullah and his mother was Sh Khaltum (Nda Halus).  His paternal grandparents were Sy Umar and Sh Rokiah; his maternal grandparents were Sy Ali and Sh Cik.  He had two brothers and two sisters, named Sy Zainal Abidin, Atan, Sh Noraini and Sh Zaleha.  He had a half-sister named Sh Aminah.
