Sy Aidid's father was Sy Abd Rahman (Idrus) and his mother was Sh Khadijah.  His paternal grandfather was Sy Ali; his maternal grandfather was Sy Sulaiman and his maternal grandmother is <Unknown>.  He has four brothers and three sisters, named Sy Mustamam, Sy Jamal, Sy Syamsul, Sy Lokman, Sh Bee, Sh Fatimah and Sh Faridah.  He had four half-brothers and six half-sisters, named Sy Majid, Sy Alwi, Sy Ismaon, Tan, Sh Lin, Sh Kelah, Sh Zamrud, Sh Tik, Sh Rabiah and Sh Maheran.
