Michael was born on January 9th, 1901 in Timoleague, County Cork. Michael's father was Florence Cronin and his mother was Mary Desmond. His paternal grandparents were Michael J Cronin and Mary Foley; his maternal grandparents were Desmond and <Unknown>. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Gerard, Fud, Mary and Vera. He was the oldest of the five children. He died at the age of 80 on October 5th, 1981 in Palmerstown, Dublin. He was buried in Palmerstown, Dublin.-
