Florence was born on May 25th, 1863 in Cork Ireland.  Florence's father was Michael J Cronin and his mother was Mary Foley.  His maternal grandparents were Jerimagh Foley and Ellen Walsh. He had a brother and three sisters, named Leo, Mary, Margaret and Hanora.  He was the third oldest of the five children.  He died at the age of 83 on April 24th, 1947 in Dublin.  He was buried in Glasnevin Cemetery.
