Allegonda was born on August 24th, 1855 in Amersfoort.1  Allegonda's father was Fedde Weidema and her mother was Ida Cornelia Veenendaal.  Her maternal grandparents were Hermanus Veenendaal and Antonia Lambrechts/Lambregs/Lambregt. She had four brothers and three sisters, named Ruud Feddes, Johannes, Hermanus, Antonie, Tonia Feddes, Geertruida and Allegonda.  She was the second youngest of the eight children.
