Philippus van der Schalie (Flip) 
Philippus was born on May 16th, 1923 in Amsterdam. Philippus' father was Jan van der Schalie and his mother was Anna Maria Helena Keegel. His paternal grandparents were Philippus van der Schalie and Wilhelmina Maria Cappelle. He was an only child. He died at the age of 75 on April 13th, 1999 in Amsterdam. He was buried on April 19th, 1999 at the Begraafplaats Zorgvlied.1 Death Notes

Flip van der Schalie was a Dutch (comic) artist and television producer. At the age of 23 he joined Piet van Elk's Stripfilm studio. He initially inked the comics by Van Elk and the other artists at the studio, and eventually began producing his own work.
He created 'Bollie Bof', a character with a flower on his head, of which two stories appeared in regional newspapers, as well as some Belgian papers. For the publisher Mulder he made four fullcolor stories with 'Bollie Bof' in 1948, but these were never published.
