Grietje Eizes was born on January 26th, 1783 in Beetsterzwaag.  Grietje Eizes' father was Eize Davids Meijer and her mother was Grietje Gerrits.  Her paternal grandparents were Davids Broers Eizinga and Hiltje Eises; her maternal grandparents were Gerrit Ritskes and Grietje Jans. She had a sister named Aaltje Eizes.  She was the younger of the two children.  She died at the age of 48 on December 2nd, 1831 in Drachten.
