Sijbe Tjidgers was born on October 9th, 1802 in Beets and his baptism took place on October 24th, 1802. Sijbe Tjidgers' father was Tjidger Sybes Meetsma and his mother was Aaltje Eizes Meijer. His paternal grandparents were Sijbe Tjidgers Meetsma and Grietje Jans; his maternal grandparents were Eize Davids Meijer and Grietje Gerrits. He was an only child. He died at the age of 86 on October 22nd, 1888 in Achtkarspelen.-
