Pieter Altera 
Pieter was born in 1730 in Leiden and his baptism took place there on August 13th, 1730. Pieter's father was Hendrik Altera(i) and his mother was Maria van der Schalie. His maternal grandparents were Pieter Pieters van der Schalje and Catharina Oliviers de Wilde. He had two brothers named Jacobus and Abraham. He was the second oldest of the three children.
