Jacobus Altera 
Jacobus was born in 1728 in Leiden and his baptism took place there on September 5th, 1728. Jacobus' father was Hendrik Altera(i) and his mother was Maria van der Schalie. His maternal grandparents were Pieter Pieters van der Schalje and Catharina Oliviers de Wilde. He had two brothers named Pieter and Abraham. He was the oldest of the three children.
