      Carole spent some of her childhood with her Auntie Connie and husband Ted.
    Carole Judson to Dick Hudson, 2013.1: "I met your Father only once when he visited my aunt Connie Barlow when we lived in Middleton-on Sea in Sussex but always kept in touch with him every Christmas until his passing. I also met your grandparents Will and Bertha once when I visited Buxton as a teenager."
    
    "Whilst my parent's marriage broke down I always put it down to them being a casualty of long absences during the war as with so many families, but divorce was not really discussed too much in those days as it is today.  I remember always keeping it a great secret from all except my best friends. I left Plumpton around 1948 and wen to  live with my Aunt Connie and Uncle Ted so I could attend school there.  Tony remained with Mother as he was at school in Brighton. After my Mother's remarriage he went to live with our Father until going off to do his National Service and then again for a short while until going to Canada."
