John was born on June 1st, 1691 in Ipswich, Essex County, Massachusetts.1   John's father was Joseph (John) Andrews Sr and his mother was Sarah Ringe.  His paternal grandparents were Lt John Andrews and Jane Jordan; his maternal grandparents were Daniel Ringe and Mary Kinsman. He had two brothers and six sisters, named Joseph, Daniel, Sarah, Susanna, Jane, Hannah, Dorothy and Lucy.  He was the fifth oldest of the nine children.  He died at the age of 71 in October 1762 in Ipswich, Essex County, Massachusetts.1
