Mr William Wilson

William was born on November 28th, 1788 in Arbroath, Angus, Scotland and his baptism took place there on December 4th, 1788.

William's father was Mr James Wilson and his mother was Mrs Elizabeth Mudie. His maternal grandparents were Mr William Mudie and Mrs Margaret Mann. He had four brothers and six sisters, named James, John, David, Charles, Margaret, Elizabeth, Susanna, Isabella, Jean and Ann. He was the fifth oldest of the eleven children.
