Richard was born in 1785 in Keelby, Lincoln, England and his christening took place on May 17th, 1785 in Saint Bartholomew Church, Keelby, Lincoln, England.  Richard's father was William Rack and his mother was Sarah Mumby.  His paternal grandparents were John Rack and Rebecca. He had three brothers and a sister, named William, Joseph, John and Rebekah.  He was the oldest of the five children.  He died at the age of 69 in 1854 in Saint Martin, Lincoln, England.  He was buried on January 10th, 1854 in Saint Nicholas Church, Lincoln, England.
