Malcolm was born on June 6th, 1861 in Howrah, Bengal, India and his baptism took place there on September 15th, 1861.  Malcolm's father was Mr Donald Macleod and his mother was Mrs Ann Catherine Heron.  His paternal grandparents were Mr NK NK and Mrs NK NK.
