Anne Elisabeth was born on April 5th, 1765 in Heusden.¹   Anne Elisabeth's father was Andreas  Gathofs and her mother was Helena Buntiens.  Her paternal grandparents were Arnoldus (Jacobus) Gathoffs and Aleidis Schoppen; her maternal grandparents were Joannes Bintiens and Elizabetha Iven. She had a brother and a sister, named Joannes and Anna Marie.  She was the oldest of the three children. She had two half-brothers named Arnoldus and Joannes.
